	Kwan H. Lee, M.D., Ph.D.	Chairman of the Board

Untitled Document Dr. Lee is a co-founder of TissueGene and serves as the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer. He is trained as an orthopedic surgeon with approximately 20 years of experience. He obtained his M.D. from the prestigious Seoul National University in Korea in 1982 and a Ph. D. in orthopedic sciences from the same university in 1993. He also has been a guest researcher at the U.S. National Institutes of Health, conducting key studies involving the therapeutic use of TGF-bs. Dr. Lee is well-known as a world-wide leader in the field of orthopedic medicine. He has served as the Director of the Clinical Research Center of Inha University Hospital in Korea, as well as a professor there. He is a member of the Gene Therapy Committee of the Korean FDA, which has provided him unique experience in understanding the drug evaluation and approval process in connection with genetic therapies such as TissueGene's own cell-mediated technology.

Untitled Document Chairman Woong-Yeul Lee is the head of a megaconglomerate known as the Kolon group, based in Korea. With investments in information technology, textiles, chemicals and other areas, the Kolon Group is a major player in many sectors of the Korean economy. Chairman Lee is an active member of several international business organizations and has been recognized as one of the leading next-generation CEOs. He is currently the Chief Vision Creator of the Kolon Group where he is involved in the strategic development of the company’s mission. He received his BA from America University and afterwards his MBA from George Washington University.
